Ministry of Health, Indonesia, on 6 March 2020, announced another two Indonesian citizens positive with COVID-19. In total so far there have been four people who tested positive for COVID-19 in the country, after the first two confirmed cases, case 1 and case 2 announced by President Joko Widodo on 2 March 2020.
These new cases will be called case 3 and case 4 said Ministry’s Disease Control and Prevention Directorate General’s Secretary Achmad Yurianto, at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta. Case 3 and case 4 were found after the team from Ministry of Health traced and examined people who had contact with case 1 and case 2. All patients with confirmed COVID-19 are currently isolated at Sulianti Saroso Infectious Disease Hospital in North Jakarta.
The team from Ministry of Health, were also managed to traced another 5 persons who had contact with case 1 and case 2, and took them to the Sulianti Saroso Infectious Disease Hospital for observation and isolation because they showed physical symptoms associated with influenza.
Ministry of Health also announced 119 extension 9 as hotline for responding COVID-19.
